Foot Petals: A Love Note to My Shoes & Feet

The tag line for Foot Petals is appropriate, at least for my own relationship with my shoes: for those of us who have a love/hate relationship with our sexy shoes.

I can’t tell you how many pairs of shoes I own that aren’t well cushioned on the ball, that slide off my heels, slide against the ground, have arch support in an odd spot–needless to say, it’s not a good feeling to get a new pair of shoes home, get excited about them & wear them out, only to find out they don’t fit right.

So I did something about it.

I like to think I ordered a “Variety Pack” of Foot Petals products from Manhattanite: Heavenly Heels, Killer Kushionz, Tip Toes (the item Foot Petals are best known for), and Sole Stopperz. I had two particularly offensive pairs of shoes I was itching to put these guys in, a pair of super slippery Pour La Victoire heels and my size too big United Nude wedges.

The quality of Foot Petals was apparent from inside the packaging– they’re firm, soft, and incredibly well cushioned.

My United Nude shoes are a size too large– they were an amazing eBay steal, and it’s impossible to find another pair in a size smaller.  I combined the Sole Stopperz with the Heavenly Heelz, hoping that the insert would provide an extra bit of narrowness and “tighten them up” and the heel insert would prevent slippage.  And it was successful!

For my other shoes, the Pour La Victoire heels, the massive heel (5″!) coupled with a super slick sole makes me super scared to wear the out of the house. I picked up the Sole Stopperz in hopes that they could add enough texture to make me feel safe to wear them…

I’m not sure if the ball of the shoe is too large for one Sole Stopperz or if it is just THAT slippery, because while it provided more traction than it originally had, I’m not sure that one would sufficiently make me feel safe to walk… the plus side is that each pack comes with 2 pairs, so I can easily add more to the shoe for extra traction!

Overall, I’m ecstatic and super pleased with the Foot Petals collection, and find that while they cost a bit more than the alternatives at your local drugstore, the quality is infinitely better.  Make your feet happy, break out those shoes you thought you’d never wear again, and invest in some foot petals ;)

I love foot petals! The sole stopperz are my absolute favorite, and have saved me from hydro-planing many times!

  2. Julia, I need to stop being such a chicken and just take the sole stopperz outside and see how they’ll work! D: I think I’m just terrified of the 5″ heel and the formerly slippery sole…
